Ivy Tea Room: Be Our Guest

If you haven't been living under a rock since the new year, you've probably gotten wind of the Beauty and the Beast-mania following the new adaptation that hit theaters March 17th. Starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, if you haven't made it out to see the new release, do! You're missing out.

Happily taking part in the recent mania, Cassandra and I attended a themed tea-dinner at Albuquerque's Ivy Tea Room in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Aptly titled "Be Our Guest," the tea consisted of three courses paired with three different teas.

The menu was scrumptious and included tasty morsels like Cogsworth's spinach stuffed pretzel with parmesan butter crumbles, or the Featherduster's sesame basket filled with cucumber gorgonola salad. Also featured was the quintessential grey stuff, which too was delightful.

We were so impressed by the tea room's decor, not just for the themed dinner; the overall aesthetic is somewhere between old and new, vintage and modern, with a feminine flair that Cassandra and I adored.

Having recently opened in May of 2015, the tea room is a recent and refreshing addition to the Albuquerque cafe and restaurant scene. Advertising for their April themed tea (Downtown Abbey, omg!) has been released via Facebook, tickets are selling at $38 per person. If I were you, I'd hop on and get my ticket quick! Seats went so fast for their Beauty and the Beast themed dinner, they had to open two other seatings. We at Cushy wish Ivy Tea Room continued success, and look forward to frequenting their shop for more treats in the very near future.
